Year 7 ~ Totus Tuus ~ Day 27

Mary is glorious, wrapped with the sun, the moon beneath her feet, and with twelve stars around her head. Yes Mary is splendid; all of Christ’s glory is upon her…

What we proclaim is her loving heart, the heart with which she loves Jesus: her heart bound to Jesus at Christmas, bound to Jesus when he sought to teach the doctors of the law at twelve years of age, and united to Jesus when he is hanging on the cross. We proclaim the heart of Mary bound to Christ’s, living al that he lives, living all the love he has for his Father… what is most precious for Mary is her bond with Jesus… The glory of Mary is her love for Jesus…

… the victory of love over Judas’ betrayal, over treason… the victory of love over the frailties of the Church. This is truly what glory is: the victory of love, a visibly splendid victory, a victory that overcomes all.
