Mary was not all-knowing; Mary took things into her heart and reflected on them, she pondered, she wondered. We are allowed to wonder, and ponder, and reflect – but we are to keep Christ at the center of our lives, the center of our Joy. On Monday, we heard about Anna meeting the newborn Babe, someone nearing the end of life and someone at the beginning of life, both embodying God’s faithfulness through the ages to all generations. On that same day, in our own parish community, [shout-out from Fr. Grogan!] there was present a long-time parishioner who was remembering her husband and offering up his life to the Lord, as well as a family (ours…), the newest parishioners who registered on the Feast of the Holy Family and came to Mass again as a family on Monday to ask a blessing for the baby of the family (Nins xD) on the morning of his 5th birthday.
… this is my prayer in the harvest when favor and providence flow, i know i’m filled to be emptied again, the seed i’ve received i will sow…
